The chances are that somewhere in your home resides a bare wall. Don’t let this unused space go to waste. Put it to work! From displaying vintage photographs and treasures to using window treatments to create a faux window, there are a number of methods you can employ to bring a bare wall to life.
For starters, start playing with color. Paint a bare white wall a bold hue to add visual interest to a stark room. Choose a shade of pomegranate red to instantly brighten your mood. Opt for a hue of soft blush pink for a barely there touch of color. To imbue a room with a sense of elegance, look for a toile wallpaper border or hand stencil one. For a solution that is both practical and decorative, look for wrought iron shelving to create a rustic look in your room. If you would prefer to create an environment that is reminiscent of the sea, look for white wicker shelves. On these shelves, you can display fresh flowers in vases, cherished books or photos, or sea glass in glass bowls.
